A nice long workout
Went to the gym today and spent some quality time there. I started by doing some cardio. Warm up on the bike and then I headed over to the treadmill. I must say that the treadmill and I aren’t the best of friends. My balance is absolutely appalling when I’m on the machine. Wobbling from side to side so I have to balance myself with the handles on the side… :S My distance versus time isn’t that great but considering that this is my first proper use of the treadmill AND even though I went slow I managed to jog a few minutes here and there. I’m really chuffed over that. I hope that the distance will get longer and longer almost by itself once I get used to the machine. After that I did my favourite, the rowing machine. My legs were a bit stiff so it actually felt a bit tougher than last time. But I managed to shave off a few seconds
My first goal is to get under 10 minutes.
In total I got about 35 minutes of cardio, not bad, not bad.
Then I went ahead and did a few basic strength exercises. I used the vibrating machine from hell also called the Power plate. The burn I get in my thighs by using this is something I’ve never experienced before. It’s pretty cool! I tried a few other exercises too… the bicep pull didn’t do much for me but the abs in a v-position and cycling with the legs, that one was a killer.
I then finished my gym session by hitting the pool. I’m not a fast swimmer but I really enjoy it so today I swam for 60 minutes. *bliss* It’s a great workout but afterwards I feel so relaxed, just as if I had a massage or something.
I could get used to this
